The Sunlit first opened back in September 1979 as Kingswood Teppanyaki Restaurant and is one of the first teppanyaki restaurants to be opened in Taiwan. From the very first day, the restaurant was a big hit and everyday there would be customers lining up outside waiting to taste a bite. However, the restaurant moved from its original location to its second location and changed its name to Kenneth’s Teppanyaki Restaurant. After a couple years, it moved back to its original location and was named The Sunlit Teppanyaki Restaurant. Unfortunately, in December 2002, the restaurant was forced to move again and finally to its current location because of an earthquake. Despite its numerous location changes, The Sunlit still has many loyal customers.
